A Good Day To Be A Dog episodes 10 and 11 recap a

“The glow of the sun is on your face again.”

During the Joseon era, Mak-soon (Hae-na’s ancestor) falls in mutual love with Soo Hyun (Seo-won’s ancestor) who is a nobleman. Mak-soon serves Cho Young (Ji-a’s past life) who is married to a distant relative of the royal family deemed to have committed treason.

Soo Hyun who learns of the arrest warrant issued for Cho Young rushes to the house of his teacher where his lover and Cho Young stays. Chased by the guards, Cho Young fell and lost her baby. She was nursed back to health by a Mountain Spirit (Teacher Lee) with the help of Gumiho (Vice-Principal).

Grieving for the baby she lost, the Mountain Spirit brought a dog that carried the soul of Cho Young’s child. Eventually, the two fall in love with each other.

“I put that curse on you. The curse that turns you into a dog.”

Meanwhile, Mak-soon realizes she is pregnant and tries to look for Soo Hyun who was captured for helping Cho Young escape. Mak-soon pleads to the Judiciary Chief promising the location of her mistress. Soo Hyun was helped by a guard whom he helped also escape prison.

Sadly, Cho Young faces her demise which broke the Mountain Spirit’s heart big time. It leads to the family curse that Mak-soon and her descendants should face.

At present time, Hae-na and her family were surprised to wake up with their uncle in his human form. However, it was part of Teacher Lee’s plan of revenge. He asks her to choose between saving her uncle or being together with Seo-won.

Reassuring his lover that their feelings will always be there even if their memories will be gone, Hae-na made a heartbreaking decision.

“Even if our memories are gone, our feelings will remain the same. So, I’ll go to you. Even if you take a step back, I will take two steps towards you.”

A Good Day To Be A Dog Episodes 10 and 11 Musings

The crumbs from the past timeline are now more clarified in the latest episodes of A Good Day To Be A Dog. Teacher Lee’s elaborate revenge plan has put Hae-na in a dilemma. Interestingly, her motivations from her past and present lives align. That is to protect her family first.

Admittedly, Teacher Lee’s wrath is somehow unreasonable when Ji-a, the presumed reincarnation of his lover has also made her presence. Probably, it all boils down to how he treasured that special time of his life in the past. Hopefully, Ji-a can aid in appeasing the seemingly unquenchable fury of the Mountain Spirit her past self once loved.
