Our Blooming Youth Episodes 19 Highlights
Just as the puzzle pieces are going in Lee Hwan’s favor, the Queen who is behind the cursed letter made another move that put Jae-yi in a sticky situation. After noticing that her dagger went missing, she rushes to see Lee Hwan who was out to meet Minister Han.
Seeing the cursed letter turn red, she rushes to the crown princess’s chamber. But it was too late, and she also ends up being the prime suspect in her murder.
“”She might have known that it was a trap. She knew she couldn’t hide it anymore and so he let me off the hook.”
Finding the cursed letter missing, Lee Hwan is informed that Jae-yi was urgently looking for him. She blabs about the crown princess in peril and rushes out of his room.
Lee Hwan heads to the crown princess’ palace and sees Jae-yi being dragged by the soldiers ordered by the King. Baffled why Jae-yi affirmed that she killed the crown princess and confessed her identity to ensure that her action will not cause problems for the crown prince.
Court Lady Choi who was assigned to tend to the crown princess also commit suicide and it appears she was coaxed to do so by the Queen who used her anger towards Lee Hwan thinking he was the one who poisoned Prince Uihyeon.
Sung-on who also learns of Jae-yi’s situation was stopped by his right hand reminding him that the situation will implicate him.
Surmising Jae-yi’s situation, Lee Hwan knows that she made a sacrifice for his sake so the enemies can’t take advantage of his weakness.
Taking advantage of Lee Hwan’s plight, Lord Cho wasted no time in demanding the prince be deposed. He also attacks Lord Han for manipulating the crown princess selection.
“There’s something you must do. They will try to dethrone you and everyone will turn away from you, leaving you alone.”
Visiting Jae-yi, Lee Hwan is reminded that his enemies will not stop until the curse is complete so he has to stop it from happening. Lee Hwan responds that losing her in the process won’t do any good to him. But Jae-yi asserts that he has to ascend the throne and be a wise king.
Acknowledging her predicament, Jae-yi assures him that she is ready to die. Bravely, she also confessed that she has feelings for him and that she was happy she met and fell in love with him.
Arriving at Gaeseong, Ga-ram and Myung-jin find the stone that will prove the conspiracy of Byeokcheon victims’ traces inside the palace.
Sung-on confronts his friend for staying still amidst the chaos. The King won’t budge even with a mountain of petitions to dethrone the crown prince.
Just then, Lee Hwan personally requests his father be unseated from his position which made his enemies wonder if he has something he is brewing.
“Have you forgotten? There wasn’t any single moment that I was your friend.”
Listening to the mounting protests, the King ordered his son to be banished to Ganghwado; had Minister Han on house arrest and Jae-yi be killed.
Sung-on who will escort Lee Hwan was approached by the Queen and Lord Cho. The former gave a drink which Sung-on is suspicious while the latter straightly commands him to kill his friend.
Agreeing to Lord Cho’s request, Sung-on demands a written agreement they are on the same boat.
On the day of Lee Hwan’s banishment, Jae-yi is also set to be killed. But Sung-on safely escorts the crown prince while Tae-gang rescues Jae-yi.
Reassuring his best friend that he has always been faithful to him, he also feels bad that Lee Hwan had to bear all the pain alone.
The group convenes at a place to discuss their plan and moves to Naehwang Village where Byeokcheon survivors are staying. Unknown to them, the tavern couple’s adopted children left a note at Manyeondang, but it landed on Lord Cho’s hand.
Lord Cho’s cousin also arrives with bad news as he just remembered who Mandeok is. Lord Cho’s happiness of knowing where Lee Hwan’s team is heading fades as he realized the treachery pulled off by the Queen.
Our Blooming Youth Episodes 19 Musings
Up until the last episode, Our Blooming Youth did not tone down its energy as well as its problem-laden plot. That’s the reason why despite its minimalist romance, the desire to root for the characters entwined in the crown prince’s fate of living through the events declared by a cursed letter, which is actually manipulated by the Queen and her hometown allies.
An exciting final episode is ahead as the heroes face the villains, and the secret villains also face off with the evident ones. Obviously, the showdown between the Queen and Lord Cho is not to be missed.
Can Lee Hwan convince the Byeokcheon people of his good intentions? Can we get a few minutes of romantic moments between Jae-yi and Lee Hwan since we’ve been waiting for it since day 1?
Don’t miss the final episode of Our Blooming Youth!
