RACE features the story of strong-willed Park Yoon-jo. What she lacks in qualifications and experience she more than makes up for in tenacity and drive.
But when everyone in the company discovers several recent hires were made as part of a newly created diversity program, Yoon-jo will have to overcome the insurmountable to win their approval.
The series stars Lee Yeon Hee (New Year Blues, Welcome to Wedding Hell) as “diversity hire” Park Yoon-jo; Moon So Ri (The Handmaiden, Seoul Vibe) as Goo Yi-jung, the leading voice in the PR industry; Hong Jong Hyun (Moon Lovers) as Yoonjo’s friend Ryu Jae-min; and Jung Yun Ho (Dating On Earth) as CEO of Earth Communication Seo Dong-hoon.

In the drama, Hong Jong Hyun plays the role of Ryu Jae-min. He is envied as an ace recognized for his ability to write perfect press releases and clean work in the PR office of a large company. Interestingly, he is a person who has no greed for work and no expectations for the company.
Contrary to his best friend Yoon-jo, who has no specs but has a full level of passion, he shows the image of an office worker born in the 90s who values work-life balance.
As he works with Yoon-jo, he is looking forward to seeing his life excitement unfolding while changing little by little.
The unveiled teasers of Hong Jong Hyun peeks at the daily life of a man working in a public relations team which requires a phone call anywhere and anytime. Notably, he is highlighted donning neat suits.

“This is my first office drama. It was a new and special experience living as an office worker while filming most of the amount in a suit. It is a work that resonates with the feelings of office workers and the thoughts coming from relationships in detail. It was a time to think about the daily life and worries of office workers through RACE.”
