FANMEETING RECAP: Lee Chae Min Melts Manila with Music, Warmth, and Unfiltered Sweetness

Lee Chae Min, one of Korea’s fastest-rising global stars, lit up Manila with a fan meeting filled with humor, heartfelt moments, and unforgettable fan interactions.

The actor shared that he was “very thrilled” when he learned Manila was included in his tour—especially after hearing from many people that Filipino fans are exceptionally warm. And true enough, the explosive cheers that greeted him proved every word right.

Eyes, Winks, and Charm Points

When asked which part of his face he likes the most, Chae Min proudly said it was his eyes—especially when he wants to be funny. He even gave fans a playful left-eye wink, instantly sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Professor Chae Min Makes an Appearance

He also shared that he hopes to play roles like a professor or lawyer someday. To bring that dream to life, he put on glasses, held a book and pen, and asked the crowd to scream from the left, middle, and right sections—earning deafening cheers from all sides.

A Tagalog Masterclass

In one of the most entertaining segments of the night, Chae Min learned and recited several Tagalog lines, charming fans with his effort and surprisingly good pronunciation:

  • “Ako po si mini mini Chamin, the bank manager.”

  • “I-check natin ang line-up para sa araw na ito sa Chaemin Bank.”

  • “Guys, ako lang talaga ang hinihintay niyo, ’di ba?”

  • “Guys, anong gusto n’yong mapanood?”

When fans shouted “Abs!”, he laughed and said he wanted to show them—but since there were “babies in the audience,” he would save it for another time.

He continued with more fan-favorite phrases:

  • “Nagkaon ka na ba, Love?”
(Fans screamed even louder when he said it again as “Nagkaon ka na, Love?”)

  • “Akin ka na lang.”

  • “Meron ba kayong gustong makita?”

And once again, the crowd yelled “Abs!”—but Chae Min chose to dance instead, despite claiming he wasn’t confident in dancing. When he saw the choreography he had to imitate, he grinned and said, “Hmm… mukhang hindi naman mahirap.” The audience erupted.

Up Close With Fans

Chae Min stepped off the stage to meet the crowd, saying the feeling was completely different and deeply moving. The venue shook with screams as he walked around, waving and greeting fans up close. He later performed a cheerful song, raising the energy even higher.

CHAEMISSION: A Five-Part Mission to Win Gifts for the Crowd

For the final segment, Chae Min introduced CHAEMISSION, where he and the fans became one team to complete five missions. Three out of five missions meant a gift for everyone.

C – Challenge

He imitated the viral “Marikit sa Dilim” pose—up to three times—before finally succeeding, making the audience roar.

H – Harmony

Chae Min ate a mystery Filipino food and fans had to guess based on his body movements.
He gave a cute hint… and the correct answer was leche flan!
Someone even shouted “Siopao!” because of the way he pretended to eat, making him burst into laughter.
A fan named Gina guessed correctly, prompting Chae Min to say leche flan was “soft and sweet—just like the Champs.”

A – Acting

Before the third challenge, fans had to guess which food he ate in a scene from Bon Appétit.
The answer: samgyetang.
He also revealed the most delicious treat he had on the show—macarons—and said his favorite scenes were the last two episodes.

E – Exciting

A 60-second game with a lucky audience member.
Chae Min chose Gina (who guessed leche flan earlier), and the crowd screamed when she showed off an impressive split on stage.

M – Memory

To end the mission, he granted three fan wishes—singing “Happy Birthday,” taking selfies, giving warm hugs, and even acting out scenes with fans. His sincerity made the moment especially touching.

An Emotional Finale

Before closing the show, the Champs surprised him with a heartfelt video that brought Chae Min to tears. He then sang his final song, “I Find You,” pausing several times as he grew emotional. He thanked his Manila fans for the overwhelming love and promised to work even harder as an actor.

“Saranghaeyo, Oppa!” echoed across the venue as he waved goodbye—marking a night Filipino fans will never forget.
