The wait is finally over — Netflix has officially kicked off production for All of Us Are Dead Season 2, the Korean YA zombie thriller that took the world by storm in 2022.
Adapted from Joo Dong-geun’s iconic webtoon, the series gained instant cult status, racking up a staggering 560 million viewing hours in its first 28 days and earning a spot in Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched non-English series of all time.
Back to brave the chaos are original cast members Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, and Lomon, reprising their roles as the resilient survivors of the Hyosan High nightmare. This season, they’re joined by fresh talent — Lee Min Jae (Weak Hero: Class 2), Kim Si Eun and Roh Jae Won (Squid Game), and Yoon Ga-i — as the zombie crisis erupts in Seoul, dragging a new group of characters into the blood-soaked fray.
Now a university student in Seoul, Nam On-jo (Park Ji-hu) is haunted by the losses of the past and trying to rebuild her life. But when the infection resurfaces with terrifying speed, she’s once again plunged into survival mode — this time without her original crew. Meanwhile, Cheong-san, Nam-ra, and Su-hyeok face their own reckoning as they navigate a world forever changed by the undead.
Season 2 promises high-stakes tension and deeper character arcs, spotlighting On-jo’s dynamic with her new allies — the savvy upperclassmen Yong Ma-ru, So Ju-ran, and Lee Jong-a, who’ve carved out their own methods of staying alive. And with NIS team leader Han Du-seok (Roh Jae-won) entering the picture, the stakes may be even higher than before.
Helmed once again by directors Lee JQ and Kim Nam-su, with Chun Sung-il returning to pen the script, All of Us Are Dead Season 2 is shaping up to be a heart-pounding continuation of grief, growth, and guts — with plenty of zombies thrown in, of course.
