Disney+ has unveiled new stills from its original series Low Life, stirring anticipation for this quirky, sea-soaked adventure.
Set in 1977, the drama follows a ragtag group of honest, hard-working country folk who band together to claim a long-lost treasure ship buried beneath the ocean. The newly released images hint at tangled relationships and hidden agendas, all orbiting around the mysterious sunken loot.
Among them, Ryu Seung Ryong (Oh Kwan-seok) pierces through the screen with a fierce gaze, while Yang Se Jong (Oh Hee-dong) looks on edge—tension between the two is palpable, teasing a showdown on the horizon.
Meanwhile, Im Soo Jung (Yang Jeong-sook), Kim Eui Seong (Professor Kim), and a colorful ensemble cast bring their own schemes and motivations to the treasure hunt, promising a tale packed with clashing ambitions and unpredictable alliances.
Further heightening the anticipation are images of the “country bumpkins” gathered at sea and confronting each other on a boat, suggesting an escalating incident. The attention to detail in the costumes and hairstyles, perfectly capturing the 1970s era, also adds to the series’ appeal.
Low Life premieres with three episodes on July 16, followed by a staggered rollout: two episodes each on July 23, July 30, August 6, and August 13—totaling 11 episodes of coastal drama, comedy, and plenty of treasure-hunting twists.
