Jin Ki Joo plays the ever-positive Oh Soo-ah, a temporary teacher passionate about her students in Undercover High School.
She’s determined to become a full-time teacher, and her drive adds a dynamic layer to her character. Jin Ki Joo was drawn to the project because it felt like a fun, easy watch – perfect for relaxing.
Explaining why she chose the project, Jin Ki Joo shared, “It felt like a fun, lighthearted show you can enjoy while laughing and relaxing.” She also teased the depth of her character, saying, “Oh Soo-ah is a teacher with a huge heart for her students, but she’s also determined to secure her full-time position. These two desires clash, leading to dilemmas and internal struggles.”
To prepare for the role, she reflected on the challenges teachers face. “I wanted to understand the dilemmas teachers experience. Before filming, I asked myself those questions, and that helped me approach the role with more clarity,” she explained.
Speaking about her experience working with Seo Kang Joon, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “He’s such a seasoned actor and a strong leader. Thanks to him, our chemistry was amazing, and everyone on set had a great time.”
