My Demon Episodes 3 and 4 Highlights
Previously, Gu-won saved Do-hee from the splash of acid thrown at her. After using his power by touching her, he also explains details about his existence.
Proposing for him to be her bodyguard, he vehemently refused. However, when his fingertip starts uncontrollably combusting, he seeks her attention so he can make a deal and extinguish the flame build up inside his body.
They go to a hospital where a mother agrees to strike a deal in exchange for her daughter not to be in pain anymore.
Do-hee who witnessed the interaction points out the harshness of his offer but he asserts his idea that humans’ flaw is thriving on inefficient emotions.
“Wait and see Madam Ju. I promise to reveal the truth even if I join hands with a devil.”
Without many options for his predicament, Gu-won starts working as Do-hee’s bodyguard. In passing, he also reveals how he used to be a human before becoming a demon.
Deciding to visit Chairman Ju, Do-hee finds her lifeless. Previously, Chairman Ju chides a figure who was not yet revealed.
At her funeral, Do-hee is disheartened to see Madam Ju’s family not showing any grief. So she goes to Madam Ju’s greenhouse to take a break. Gu-won also changed her black dress into white so the departed could find her. A butterfly finds her and gives a little solace to Do-hee’s heart.
The family and Do-hee go to a quick meeting with the police and her disappointment heightens to fury realizing that Madam Ju was murdered. She creates a scene when the members of the family are unaffected by the idea that someone intentionally poisoned the old madam.
Just as she was ordered to leave, the lawyer announces the last will of Madam Ju bequeathing the company to Do-hee with the condition that she get married. When she was asked if she would accept the offer, she declared a big yes as she intended to uncover the truth about her favorite person’s death.
“Rule number one for bodyguards. Never let her out of your sight. Number two, never stray far from her. And rule number three, never fall in love with her.”
Marching to where her bodyguard Gu-won is, she asks him to marry her. However, the demon bluntly rejects her offer.
With his powers not 24/7 beyond his reach, Gu-won also confronts the challenges of being a human thanks to his butler’s reminder. So, he has made a deal with Do-hee that he would help find the culprit but she has to let him charge as he pleases.
Proceeding with their deal, unfortunately, his power is acting strange and they cannot trace the man Do-hee badly needs to meet.
After attending a drinking party, the two hit another bickering moment. But they realize quickly that they cannot be far from each other.
Gu-won who is being tracked by a gang gets cornered and is brutally hit with one of the gang members. Armed with a pepper spray gun, Do-hee rescues her bodyguard on the brink of time.
Unleashing his power as soon as Do-hee charged him, Gu-won initiated a tango dance battle, subduing the gangsters effortlessly while dancing with Do-hee.
My Demon Episodes 3 and 4 Musings
Visually appealing, My Demon easily hooks viewers with its smart allure and apparent lead pair chemistry. Determined to know the culprit who killed Madam Ju, Do-hee embarks on a risky life and as her benefactress said, a lonely life.
Madam Ju was put in a dilemma involving her own blood which led to her wariness from them and giving the company to Do-hee. While we wait for Do-hee’s stalker’s full details, her plight of being put in a life-threatening situation becomes bigger.
The stunningly imagined tango scene captures the efficiency of how the narrative flows so far in the series. There have been no wasted moments yet and the lead actors are doing great in capturing the eventual mutual connection they will share.
Will Gu-won break one of the rules as Do-hee’s bodyguard?
