“Marry My Husband” Mounts Teasers of Na In Woo

In his latest role, Na In Woo becomes a modern knight in shining armor for his unrequited love.

Marry My Husband is about a woman who was murdered after witnessing her husband’s affair with her best friend. She returns to the past 10 years ago and gets a chance to redo her life. It aims for a story of retribution where the female lead claims back her destiny.

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, the series will be adapted to drama by writer Shin Yu-dam of the drama Awaken, and directed by Park Won-guk of Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo and Emperor: The Owner of the Mask fame.

Park Min Young (Love In Contract, Forecasting Love and Weather) plays the role of Kang Ji-won, who was murdered by her husband and best friend and returned 10 years ago to start a new life.

Na In Woo suits up as Yoo Ji-hyuk, head of marketing at a big company U&K Foods.

Although Ji-hyuk has achieved the highest level of handsomeness, physique, intelligence, and wealth, the only moment he is unable to judge and think rationally is when he faces his one-sided love, Kang Ji-won (Park Min Young). He loses control in front of her and appears extremely clumsy.

When Kang Ji-won dies in the first round of her life and she returns to the second round, he is a strong helper who is ready to give everything he has.

Ji-won’s Strong Supporter

Revealing the reason for choosing the series, Na relayed how he was drawn to the elements of rebirth and revenge.

When I read the script, I was drawn to the setting of ‘return’ and a bloody ‘revenge drama.’ Yoo Ji-hyuk appears cold and cool on the outside, but he becomes weak in front of his unrequited love, Ji-won. I think you can feel an unexpected charm in his motivation.”

To express the gap between Yoo Ji-hyuk, a perfect man envied by everyone in the world, but clumsy when it comes to love, Na In Woo confessed, “I had a lot of worries about how to portray Yoo Ji-hyuk, who is cold and sensitive, but has a three-dimensional character that gives unconditional warmth to Kang Ji-won. I thought that the viewers’ immersion would not be broken if I acted without disrupting the texture of the character. I continued to study Yoo Ji-hyuk and tried to continue the emotional line naturally,” he said, revealing traces of his efforts in many ways.

Sharing his creative process, Na In Woo also lauds his female lead.

For Yoo Ji-hyuk, Kang Ji-won is a unique and precious person that he wants to protect and must protect. To capture this affectionate relationship, collaboration with Park Min-young is of utmost importance. My acting with senior Park Min-young was by far the best. She had more acting experience and her ability to express her character was outstanding. So, I was also able to naturally empathize with Ji-hyuk’s character.”

Marry My Husband will premiere at 8:50 pm on January 1, 2024. International fans can watch it on Prime Video.
