True To Love Episodes 5 and 6 Highlights
Life goes on for Bora who wandered the city in trying to mend her broken heart. When the September issue of La Bella got released, she worked hard to buy as many copies as she can.
Knowing her friend partly contributed to the soldout copies, Yoo-jung told Bora that a second press run is coming up so she better not compete anymore with Blackpink, the cover story of the magazine.
Noticing Su-hyeok’s suit, she visited their office to return it. Her impeccable timing leads to another accidental eavesdropping of Sang-jin and Su-hyeok’s conversation about still proceeding with the book contract.
Realizing what they’d done, Su-hyeok asked Bora to meet him at a nearby cafe. Unfortunately, she chances upon Ju-wan so she ends up asking Su-hyeok to shield her.
“Breaking off an engagement is better than divorce.”
Struggling to survive the breakup, amidst a pesky cold, Bora wallows in alcohol and ends up going to Ju-wan’s place. Armed with the spirit of the 3rd stage of grief, she bargains with Ju-wan to return to what they used to have.
But Ju-wan pushes her away. Drunk, dumped, and desperate, Bora sees Su-hyeok standing in front of her. Giving her a free hug, he sent her home.
Afraid of her sister being locked for a long time in the washroom, Bomi forces herself in and finds her sister all messy and broken. With the warmth she got from Bomi and feeling the cold ground, Bora finally realized to pick herself up.
Returning to the virtual world, she also sees messages from her faithful fans which made her even more pumped to start anew.
However, as she was trying to house hunt, her information got compromised gaining access to her contacts. Unfortunately, Bo-mi fell into a scam depleting her sister’s money.
Browsing her emails, Bora gets an idea to pick herself up from her financial predicament by signing up for the book Sang-jin’s company offered.
True To Love Episodes 5 and 6 Musings
True To Love paid attention to how embracing the pain after a breakup is a prerequisite to fully emancipating someone from the agony.
It also shows that fortitude in any undertaking requires personal commitment and effort.
The series gives the standard picture of a person going through the 5 stages of love grief with the perfect ex-lover who obviously gave a love that is not proportionate to the person who fully loved him.
We’re not sure if Bora or the series end game would bring karmic justice to Ju-wan or it will strictly follow its initial intention of covering various love perspectives.
Strategically bringing Bora and Su-hyeok together, the transition of possibly making them rediscover love is on the horizon.
Passing the middle mark, the drama continuously engrosses with its clever commentaries about love and relationship. Three weeks away from its final week, we can look forward to more ruminative lessons.
