Call It Love Episodes 3 and 4 Highlights
Previously, Woo-joo protects Dong-jin from the raging man about to attack him. He turns out to be Mr. Kim, one of the investors in the fair Dong-jin’s company is arranging.
“I envy you. You have a woman who wants to protect you.”
Looping his friend Young-min to the real spy, the latter felt betrayed. So, Dong-jin uses his story of having a mom who married four times to try and make his friend better. Obviously, Sun-woo feels sad about hearing that story.
The next day, Woo-joo gets up to leave for work, but Jun who wants to know where she’s working faintly argued about her actions. He warns her to finish whatever she’s doing or she has to give up on their friendship.
Asserting the reason, she’s bent on getting the revenge that her mother did not get, Jun relents understanding it is for her inner peace.
Surprised to see Woo-joo back at the office, Dong-jin dispels the noise and announces she is indeed back working for the company.
He also asks her if she can keep tabs on Manager Cha, but she declines the offer.
“I let my ex-girlfriend cheat on me for a year. I have a lot of patience.”
Seeing the report with a sticky note on his table, Manager Cha picks on Woo-joo and demands she gives it to him properly. She does it as told, but when the manager obviously goes for another power tripping, Woo-joo blurts that he should whine to Dong-jin.
Meanwhile, Sun-woo chances upon Min-young at the golf place he goes to. Later, they go for drinks together. He also learns that she still lives at the condo beside Dong-jin.
Spotting Woo-joo entering a restaurant for lunch, Dong-jin follows and tries to engage in small talk. He also reveals to her that he learned of his ex-girlfriend’s infidelity and let it happen for a year.
Still, Woo-joo refuses his request to stalk Manager Cha.
When her most hated person visited the office, she was asked to bring coffee. Dong-jin’s mom feigns ignorance of knowing her.
Unexpectedly, Woo-joo waits for Manager Cha in the basement and reveals that his misdeed had already been found out.
“Does it make you feel good to say whatever is on your mind? It may seem to you that people hold themselves back because they’re stupid. But there are people who really try not to say everything that’s on their minds because if they do, they have to watch the other person get hurt which is far worse than them holding it in.”
It’s a small world for Dong-jin and Sim siblings. When Hae-sung sees her sister walking with Dong-jin and sees him walking on the street, she drags him to the nearby pub.
She already told Jun and Woo-joo not to go to the pub, but the two go there considering Woo-joo had a rough day, and her go-to person knows she needs alcohol.
Finding Hae-sung and then her boss, Woo-joo drags Dong-jin and tells him to avoid her sister if he sees her again by chance.
Per Dong-jin’s order, Sun-woo stalks Mr. Kim for the fair the company is arranging. Inevitably, the signs of his avoiding them appear to be true. He has signed up with CEO Shin.
Manager Cha asks Woo-joo for dinner and discloses Best Fair is soon going to be bankrupt as the fair being prepared will not happen anymore.
Min-young who also learns the same things rushes to see Dong-jin. But he does not want to share a conversation with her anymore. Later, Dong-jin feels betrayed that his friend Sun-woo did not tell him about Min-young back in town.
Drunk and lonely, he almost got hit by a car if not for Woo-joo pulling him back.
Call It Love Episodes 3 and 4 Musings
Certainly not for impatient watchers, Call It Love draws merits from the remarkable portrayals of the characters so far. Distinctly giving the best possible colors to their respective roles, the actors deserve appreciation for their commitment.
As we get the full pictures of individual stories and how those would play parts in the respective connections of the characters, the series interestingly heightens the subtle but deeply affecting thrill that it has.
We’re surprised about Dong-jin’s mom’s action, and we’ll give time for the story to explain it in the subsequent episodes.
Cracking Woo-joo’s line of thoughts is no easy task. Her mercurial attitude strangely fascinates because she has this habit of redeeming herself right away.
This week, we also understood more about Dong-jin’s lonely back. He profoundly explained why he’s opting to be stoic when he chided Woo-joo that he’s choosing to be unbothered to avoid hurting someone.
Finding an unlikely solace with Woo-joo who seems to be there for him in his low and forbearing moments, it’s hard not to be worried for him, if Woo-joo proceeds as she plans.
Come next episodes, we shall see if Woo-joo really betrayed Dong-jin or if it’s part of her plan to side first with Manager Cha to get pertinent information. Chances are that Min-young would play a crucial step to avoid Best Fair’s bankruptcy.
