Despite the end of his term in the Philippines, Seung-hun still hunts down the solicitor of the murders in Big Bet Season 2.
Working at the sides, Sang-gu secretly cooperates with Seung-hun to find evidence of Moo-sik’s involvement with Philip’s murder. Together with his friend, Jung-pal gets arrested. Though difficult, Moo-sik still finds a way to get them both out.

Big Bet Season 2 Episode 6 Highlights
“The exact difference is, even if I shot you dead right here, right now, I’d be released from prison in a month.”
With much confidence in himself, Sang-soo asks Sung-il to bring Moo-sik to him. However, he fails to intimidate him, and the tables turn on him when Moo-sik arrives in slippers with a gun.
Settling with Sang-soo, Moo-sik suggests they keep it civil the next time they meet again.
Bumping into the Korean community association president, Moo-sik warns him to stop spreading that he killed Mr. Min.
Having dinner together with his casino’s agents, Moo-sik hears their concerns and successfully solves their casino’s problem by offering them attractive incentives.
“People say that you need to be careful of falling leaves when nearing the end of anything. Don’t overdo it now.”
Late at night, Sang-gu forces himself to Seung-hun’s place to tell him about John who was present during Philip’s murder. He also opens up about the possibility of John receiving orders from Moo-sik to retrieve the money.
Sang-gu desperately requests Seung-hun to find the real culprit, but Seung-hun voices his hesitations. Having witnessed the murder of Philip, who was like a brother to him, Sang-gu pledges to bring the original footage.
Following Moo-sik’s favor, Sang-gu steals the CCTV footage from Young-hee’s store. Staying up late to watch the footage, Moo-sik affirms his suspicions, and Mr. Choi senses this after receiving a call from him.
“What pride? What obsession? I’m just trying to work and get paid!”
Welcoming Moo-sik back, Seung-hun warns him not even to think about revenge after conducting a private investigation of Mr. Min’s murder. On his next visit, Seung-hun arrests Jung-pal for the concealment of illegal funds.
After having introduced the next detective after him, Seung-hun leaves for Korea. However, he still thinks about the murder case in the Philippines even after being dissuaded to pursue it.
Hearing Jung-pal’s begging inside the jail, Moo-sik seeks Daniel’s help in this difficult case of Jung-pal and his friend. Released from jail, Jung-pal and his friend thank Moo-sik. Despite promising not to take interest in the money his friend offers to Moo-sik, Jung-pal still goes at it.
Feeling down on the rejection of his report, Seung-hun brightens up from hearing of a precedent on punishing a murder solicitor even in the absence of the actual murder culprit. Meanwhile, Young-hee panics at the knocks at her door and holds a gun in fear.
Big Bet Season 2 Episode 6 Musings
Some people just never learn even having experienced the worst conditions such as being jailed in the Philippines. Jung-pal knows how Moo-sik deals with people, yet he still plays with fire again and again.
Though Moo-sik remains to recognize their brotherhood, Jung-pal could also end up the same with Philip. With piles of money and a powerful set of connections, Moo-sik could easily end anyone who stabs him
However, this does not seem the case with Seung-hun’s persistence to dig for the truth despite the years that have passed. True enough, luck strikes at him, finding a precedent to prove his case.
Other than the precedent that came at the right time, Sang-gu’s collaboration is crucial to his pursuit of the truth. Sang-gu’s seek of justice truly matches Seung-hun’s dedication to solving the cases in the Philippines.
Connections in the cases may not yet have been fully drawn, but hopefully, it comes closer with the left episodes. We shall also look forward to the triumph of Seung-hun’s pursuit even though the stability of Moo-sik’s casino legend status remains to be uncertain.
