Cheer Up Episode 7 Highlights

“I can help you keep a clean record. What can you do for me in return?”

As Sun-ho saw Jung-woo and Hae-yi hugging, he still bravely called Hae-yi and checked up on her. He then insisted that he would go with Hae-yi since there was an emergency regarding her brother.

The two then arrived at the police station, where Hae-yi saw her brother’s face all beaten up. She then automatically apologizes to her brother’s classmate and his mother but slapped Jae-yi in front of them.

Hae-yi pleads with them to change their mind about pressing charges but the mother still insists. Furthermore, Sun-ho saw how much Hae-yi was troubled by this. Hence, he secretly approached Jae-yi and offered that he can help make his records clean.

As soon as Hae-yi heard that Jae-yi will no longer be charged, she jumped up and down with joy. In the distance, Sun-ho was happy to also see Hae-yi happy.

“We must define it. It was such an ambiguous act you did there. Not defining it could cause a misunderstanding. For example, I could wonder if you have feelings for me.”

Since their last talk in the tunnel, Hae-yi got the chance to privately ask Captain Jung-woo why he hugged her to clear any misunderstandings. This then made him flustered and reason out that hugging is an accustomed greeting in America.

Jung-woo proved that it was normal by hugging Hae-yi again but this made his heart beat fast again. Throughout the day, Jung-woo was preoccupied and confused with what he felt.

Thereupon, he also tried hugging other senior members of Theia but he didn’t feel anything. Now that he realized that he like Hae-yi, Jung-woo unconsciously avoids her.

On the other hand, Hae-yi was also still confused by Captain Jung-woo’s mixed signals, since she always sees him with Yoo-min.

“Be wild as long as you don’t break any laws. Experience as much as you can so you won’t have any regrets. Don’t try to spare your feelings too much.”

Captain Jung-woo and Yoo-min visited one of Theia’s former captains, Director Na Jung-sun, for an interview. When asked to give a message to her juniors, Jung-sun reminded them to enjoy their youth to not make any regrets.

Her message moved Jung-woo and encouraged him to confess his feelings to Hae-yi. With fewer hesitations, Jung-woo messaged her and told Hae-yi that there is something she needs know.

Moreover, this made Hae-yi excited and thought that the captain will finally make a move. However, Jung-woo saw a picture of him and Hae-yi hugging with the message ‘repeat’ printed on it.

With the fear that Hae-yi will be in danger again, Jung-woo made it clear to Hae-yi that everything was a misunderstanding instead of confessing.

The next day, Hae-yi found the courage to also confess her feelings toward the captain even though she still feels heartbroken. But, Sun-ho grabbed her hands and took her away from Jung-woo.

Cheer Up Episode 7 Musings

The series continues to sizzle with the love triangle and secrets of Theia. Additionally, Hae-yi still feels confused and brokenhearted with the expectations she always expects from Jung-woo.

Unlike Jung-woo, who shows mixed signals, Sun-ho has been true to his feelings and is making efforts to know how to win Hae-yi’s heart. In exchange for helping Jae-yi, Sun-ho asked him to reveal Hae-yi’s weakness, which is wounds from other people.

Since then, he has been trying to open a heart-to-heart talk with her and share his wounds with her. Despite showing many red flags, Sun-ho’s character shows that Hae-yi is one of the ways to help him love genuinely.

Furthermore, Min-jae was revealed to be one of the potential culprits behind Theia’s accidents. Captain Jung-woo found out that Min-jae was the one who is texting him and telling him to kick Hae-yi out of the team.

Nevertheless, his true motives for joining Theia are still unclear and Yoo-min recognizes him. On the other hand, the broadcasting team is one of the clubs that produce videos to create issues about Theia.

Even so, Ho-min is only doing his tasks but he was worried that the prophecy will become true because of them.

Is Min-jae threatening Captain Jung-woo because he doesn’t like Hae-yu? Or is he threatening to protect Hae-yi and stop the prophecy?
