Netflix has greenlit its latest Korean series, The Dealer, and revealed a star-studded cast featuring Jung So Min, Ryoo Seung Bum, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Ryu Kyung Soo.
This gripping crime drama follows Geonhwa, a masterful casino dealer whose dream wedding suddenly collapses, forcing her to tap into hidden powers and navigate the perilous world of high-stakes gambling to reclaim her future.
Jung So Min (Love Reset, Alchemy of Souls, Love Next Door, Would You Marry Me?) takes on the role of Jung Geonhwa, showcasing a bold new facet of her talent. Geonhwa is a seasoned dealer who has always skirted the darker side of casino life—but when a housing scam shatters her marriage plans, she must confront the underworld she’s long avoided, putting her skills and wits to the ultimate test.
Ryoo Seung Bum (Good News, Tazza: One Eyed Jack, The Berlin File) plays Hwang Chisu, a scrappy gambler who survives on chance and cunning—until he gets pulled into Geonhwa’s high-risk scheme.
Lee Soo Hyuk (S Line, Queen Woo) joins as Jo Jun, a poker-faced casino player whose razor-sharp skills turn the tables and raise the stakes with every hand.
Ryu Kyung Soo (The Bequeathed, JUNG_E, YADANG: The Snitch) embodies Choi Wooseung, a loving fiancé to Geonhwa and a dogged detective who never lets a criminal slip through his grasp, blending tenderness with tenacity.
The series marks the directorial debut of Choi Young-hwan, celebrated cinematographer behind hits like Smugglers, Veteran, Tazza: The High Rollers, and The Thieves. Known for his dynamic visuals and flair for storytelling, Choi will bring the casino’s glitz and tension to life. Joining him is Firstman Studio, the powerhouse behind Squid Game, with producer Hwang Dong-hyuk lending his expertise to round out a formidable creative team.
