A Shop For Killers Episodes 3 and 4 Highlights
Attacked by drones, Ji-an and Jung-min were saved by Min-hye (Geum Hannah) who shot the controlling drone. But Seong-jo (Seo Hyun Woo) and the group of bounty hunters he commissioned proceed with their attack. Min-hye tackles the mercenaries and relays in bits how whenever she is in trouble, and she says her uncle’s name 3 times, help comes to her. That’s because of a chip planted inside her.
“When you are in a difficult situation, instead of arguing over right and wrong, it’s important to find a way to solve the problem and overcome the situation.”
A flashback revealed fragments of training Jin-man provided his niece when they went to Jirisan. Ji-an bravely fought wild dogs through a slingshot while her uncle pretended feeling ill.
At present time, Ji-an deduces how to evade Seong-jo’s attacks remembering her uncle’s lesson about the blind spot. They were able to run to Jin-man’s workshop while Min-hye singlehandedly obliterated Mr. Kim and his group.
Ji-an and Jung-min discover the basement housing her uncle’s “shop for killers” but are surprised when someone who introduces himself as “brother” appears and asks Ji-an to handcuff Jung-min. She pretends to follow his instructions but moves to choke him.
In the past, Ji-an received training with a Muay Thai instructor for her goal to leave her uncle’s house. Jin-man agrees to her plan only if she can hit him in the face.
Brother escapes and locks Ji-an and proceeds to trap Jung-min as well. Then, he proceeds to bind Ji-an in a contract as the new owner of murthehelp.
Using Brother’s words that he will follow her requests, she asks to be liberated from her confinement and also to free Jung-min. Brother refuses the second request claiming Jung-min killed her uncle.
Ji-an goes through a believe-me-tug-of-war between her friend and a stranger she just met. Ultimately, she believes Jung-min and sends Brother to give Min-hye bullets and medicines.
Pulling her into an embrace, Jung-min shows his true color and sedates her with a potent injection.
A Shop For Killers Episodes 3 and 4 Musings
Viewers saw it coming when Brother hinted not to trust Jung-min but just like Ji-an we are led to believe that he is an ally. Why and how he was able to kill Jin-man, viewers are yet to find out.
It seems, more batches of killers are up to kill Ji-an. While Min-hye did a good job, her condition might not sustain the protection she gives Ji-an.
Interestingly, A Shop For Killers is so far therapeutic with how simple yet thrilling the narrative is going. Lee Dong Wook’s soothing “Listen, Jung Ji-an” pieces of advice echo in your thoughts. Let’s hope, Ji-an has a lot of these moments that could come in handy for her ordeal.
At this rate, it’s also hard not to be fully trusting of Brother and Min-hye for possible twists that might arise in the story.
Follow Ji-an survived a deathly predicament while remembering the training she received from her uncle Jin-man in A Shop For Killers!
