“Marry My Husband” Glimpses On Park Min Young’s Destiny-Defying Character

Park Min Young heralds a unique transformation that has never been seen before in her upcoming series, Marry My Husband.

Marry My Husband is about a woman who was murdered after witnessing her husband’s affair with her best friend. She returns to the past 10 years ago and gets a chance to redo her life. It aims for a story of retribution where the female lead claims back her destiny.

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, the series will be adapted to drama by writer Shin Yu-dam of the drama Awaken, and directed by Park Won-guk of Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo and Emperor: The Owner of the Mask fame.

Park Min Young (Love In Contract, Forecasting Love and Weather) plays the role of Kang Ji-won, who was murdered by her husband and best friend and returned 10 years ago to start a new life.

Kang Ji-won is a character who makes a 180-degree turn in her attitude toward life. She is accustomed to enduring but she goes on a mission to change her destiny. Attention is being paid to how Kang Ji-won, who has been given the opportunity to live her new life, will fight against her gutter-like fate, and how Park Min Young will delicately depict the process.

Na In Woo (Jinxed At First, Clean Up) plays the role of Yoo Ji-hyuk, who has perfect beauty, intelligence, and physique. He is able to do whatever he sets his mind to, but he often becomes irritable in front of his crush, Kang Ji-won. He is expected to become her biggest helper.

Kang Ji Won’s Second Chance At Life

In the drama, Kang Ji-won is an ordinary Korean woman who spends her days burdened by an incompetent husband, a neglectful in-law, and a hard work life.

She lived her whole life just tolerating things at home and in her company because she thought more about others than herself, but when she showed favor, she had no idea that she had become surrounded only by people who knew it was their right.

However, what awaits Kang Ji-won at the end is the affair of her husband, Park Min-hwan (Lee Yi Kyung), who was her only family, and Jung Soo-min (Song Ha Yoon), her only friend, and cancer that strikes her at her golden age.

In the published photo, Kang Ji-won’s appearance is captured and catches the eye. The patient gown and hat, sullen face, and pale complexion make the situation of Kang Ji-won, who is collapsing due to the difficult struggle with illness and an exhausting life, just before returning home feel realistic, causing viewers to become overly immersed.

In particular, Park Min Young put a lot of effort into severely losing her weight by up to 37 kg to be able to digest it more flawlessly.

The production team of Marry My Husband conveys the commitment of the actress.

Park Min-young spared no effort in many ways to realistically express the setting of a cancer patient. Everyone on set was surprised. The ever-changing temperature difference between Kang Ji-won before and after regression was amazing. We plan to portray it brilliantly, so please show a lot of interest.”

As Park Min-young’s bold acting transformation is predicted, look forward to how Kang Ji-won, who looks as if she will collapse at any moment, will have the opportunity to reset her fate. In addition, expectations are high for her exciting revenge and sweet romance that will unfold within her.

tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama Marry My Husband, which will feature Park Min Young, a game changer in the second episode of Dead and Resurrected Life, will premiere on January 1, 2024.
