Based on a popular novel, the two actresses are billed to bring warmth to a new fantasy story.
The series is a fantasy drama depicting the magical story of the cryptic candy store Jeoncheondang, where the mysterious owner Hong-ja sells wishes-granting sweets to the people who visit.
This is a work inspired by the popular novel The Strange Sweets Shop Jeoncheondang by Reiko Hiroshima.
Director Park Bong-seop of The Uncanny Counter and Eve is in charge of the series.
In the drama, Ra Mi Ran breathes life to Hong-ja, the mysterious sweets shop owner of Jeoncheon-dang to show another acting transformation.
Expectations are high on how the actress will portray the mysterious Hong-ja, who silently watches the customer’s choice after selling magic sweets that grant wishes to lucky customers.
Next, Lee Re plays the role of Yomi, the owner of Hwa-ang-dang, a rival confectionery store in Jeoncheon-dang.
The young actress adds vitality to the drama with a new look that has never been shown before, charmingly expressing Yomi who can’t make herself hate Hong-ja.
The Mysterious Candy Store is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2023.
