The lead stars and production team of Joseon Lawyer gathered for the first script reading session recently.
Joseon Lawyer tells the story of a lawyer on a mission to take revenge on an enemy that killed his parents. From revenge, it will highlight his growth as a champion of justice who defends people.
It is a delightful and exhilarating Joseon Dynasty court retribution action drama that shows that true payback is valuable when doing righteous things.
Portraying Kang Han-soo, Woo Do Hwan challenges a role that is similar to today’s brain-sexy man. Interestingly, Kang Han-soo is dubbed a “suitmaker” who causes all sorts of lawsuits to take revenge on the enemies of his parents who were unfairly killed.
When it comes to the law, he is a knowledgeable person who not only covers civil law, commercial law, and criminal law, but also masters the laws of the Ming Dynasty, the Analects, and other foreign laws.
Next, Kim Ji Yeon suits up for her first female lead role as Lee Yeon-ju. The latter is a princess who genuinely cares for the country and the people. While hiding her true identity, she harbors romance that is deemed impossible to happen.
Cha Hak Yeon plays the role of Yoo Ji-sun from Joseon’s most prestigious family. He is a person who strives for fair judgment and has a dream that cannot be achieved due to the gap between ideals and reality.
MBC released photos and videos of the captured moments at the event. Gathered in one place, the cast showed brilliant chemistry from the first meeting.
As soon as the table read began, the actors were immersed in the story by playing their roles passionately. It foretells an exciting synergy that would decorate the series.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Joseon Lawyer is broadcast every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 pm in March following Kokdu: Season of Deity.
