Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun and Gong Seung Yeon lead an ensemble cast to portray rescuers in The First Responders!
The First Responders chronicles a response site collaboration between police officers arresting criminals and firefighters. It depicts the most intense teamwork of first responders in critical situations.
Additionally, it heightens expectations since it is the first series in Korea to present a story in which police and fire departments cooperate to respond to violent events involving crime, disaster, and emergency.
Above all, the series attracts attention for its formidable cast and showrunners. Writer Min Ji Eun penned the lauded two seasons of Partners for Justice. Meanwhile, Director Shin Kyung Soo helmed Nokdu Flower, 3 Days and Tree With Deep Roots.
In the series, Kim Rae Won plays Jin Ho-gae, a passionate detective. Once he has set his target, he is determined to catch it.
Son Ho Jun portrays Bong Do-jin, a firefighter who appears cold on the outside, but is full of warmth on the inside. He rushes like a bulldozer into the flames with the determination that ‘there is no fire that cannot be extinguished.
Lastly, Gong Seung Yeon transforms into Song Seol, a diligent and kind paramedic who treats the wounds of detectives and firefighters. She cares deeply for even the smallest wound.
Notably, The First Responders affirmed two seasons already even without the launch date yet. The first season premieres on November 11 while the 2nd season will be in 2023.
Also present in the first script reading are actors Jo Seung Yeon who will appear as Jin Cheol-jung, Prosecutor of the Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office.
Moreover, Seo Hyun Cheol plays Baek Cham, chief detective of Daewon Police Department’s criminal team while Ji Woo and Kang Ki Dong portray Bong An-na and Gong Myung-pil, respectively. Both are diligent police officers in Daewon Police’s crime team.
Correspondingly, Woo Mi Hwa, Jeong Jin Woo, and Lee Woo Je are taking the roles of firefighters: Dok Go-soon, Choi Ki-su and Han Dong-woo, respectively.
The production team promises exhilarating and healing drama elements in The First Responders.
