October 2022 K-Dramas On Viu: “Cheer Up”, “Bad Prosecutor” & More

Down the final few months of the year, it is time to wind down and relish lovely and thrilling stories by watching K-Dramas on Viu.

October adds three new additions to the roster of K-Dramas on Viu. Currently streaming, make sure you are up to date with The Law Cafe, Mental Coach Jegal, Blind and The Empire.

K-drama darlings Lee Se Young and Lee Seung Gi star in the highly anticipated Viu Original The Law Cafe, a romantic comedy about an eccentric former prosecutor who rents out a unit in his building to beautiful law Yu-ri, who opens a law firm that also doubles as a cafe.

Recently launched, if you love healing sports drama, then you’re in for a treat with Mental Coach Jegal. In the drama, Jung Woo stars as Gil Jegal, a former member of the national taekwondo team who is permanently banned from re-joining the team after an incident involving a biased referee. He overcomes his trauma and returns to the athlete’s village as a sports counselor, also known as a mental health coach.

Meanwhile, Ok Taecyeon, Ha Seok Jin and Jung Eun Ji collaborate in Blind. The series threads on how after a jury ignores a perpetrator’s claim of innocence, he was murdered, and members of the jury are killed, one by one.

Starring Kim Sun Ah, and Ahn Jae Wook; The Empire depicts the vulgar scandals of the nation’s top aristocrats in the legal field. Rounding up the main cast are Song Young Chang, Goo Shin and Oh Hyun Kyung.

K-Dramas on Viu Coming Up This October

Relive your days of youth with Cheer Up, featuring a story about a group of college friends who navigate through friendship and romance after joining an unsuccessful cheering squad, Teyia.

Catch D.O in his comeback drama, as the titular Bad Prosecutor – a sneaky and sly prosecutor who’ll do whatever it takes to bring the corrupt to justice.

In KBS1 daily drama The Love in Your Eyes, Bae Noo-ri stars as the widowed Lee Young-yi, who, five years later, meets and falls in love with Jang Kyung-ju.

Little do they know that he is also the recipient of her late husband’s organs that was donated in his passing. The series starts streaming on Viu beginning October 4.

Cheer Up features a story about a group of college students’ friendship and romance after joining an unsuccessful cheering squad.

Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae-yi, a bright and diligent student who, because of her family’s dire financial situation, prioritizes making money above all else.

She decides to join cheering squad Teyia for the money and starts experiencing the joy of campus life as she acquaints herself with the people close to Teyia, including Bae
Young-woong (Bae In Hyuk), an ex-member of Teyia and an alumnus of the same university. He supports the cheering squad financially and emotionally.

Bad Prosecutor

Marking his post-military service drama, D.O stars as Jin Jung, an unconventional prosecutor who does whatever it takes to bring the bad guys to justice. He butts heads
with the charismatic senior prosecutor Shin Ah-ra (Lee Se Hee), who is constantly cleaning up after him, and the over-ambitious elite prosecutor Oh Do-hwan.

Together, they form an unlikely trio, working to serve justice.
