This is it! School 2021 is finally gearing up for its premiere!
KBS2’s trademark youth drama has unveiled the first set of teasers featuring School 2021 main leads Kim Yo Han and Lee Hyun Joo.
School 2021 traverses the dreams, friendship, and excitement of 18-year-old young people as they choose a different path, placed on an ambiguous boundary.
It also foreshadows the perfect synergy across generations of brilliant young and seasoned actors. In addition, a sweet romance is also anticipated between the lead pair.
Kim Yo Han as Gong Ki-joon
Kim Yo Han takes on the role of Gong Ki-joon, who wanders after losing the dream he had built up for 11 years due to an injury. He is a person who is trying to adapt to a new daily life. After quitting Taekwondo, he starts a full-fledged school life as a member of a woodworking club.
His character is hinted to show growth as he gets entangled with his first love Jin Ji-won (Jo Yi Hyun), and Jung Young-joo (Chu Young-woo), who shared a secret past.
Introducing his character, Kim Yo Han boasts a warm and refreshing visual. Waving with a faint smile and looking curious evoke heart flutters for prospective viewers.
Another photo shows him working as a part-timer. Due to his family’s circumstances, he is seen looking worried, revealing the reality for some young people living to make the ends meet.
Jo Yi Hyun as Jin Ji-won
In School 2021, Jo Yi Hyun portrays Jin Ji-won, a high school girl with a firm dream of becoming a carpenter. She is a confident person who can speak up for injustice while having a conflict with her mother who insists on her pursuing a college education.
Completely transforming into a gregarious high school girl, Jo is seen staging a one-man protest with a headband and a megaphone against the teacher’s unfair dismissal. It synchronizes with Ji-won’s character armed with an upright and dignified attitude.
She is also seen as an energetic school girl with a radiant face and passionately engrossed in woodwork activity.
KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama School 2021 is scheduled to premiere in November after Dali and Cocky Prince.
